The IFBB KZN Bodybuilding & Fitness Champs took place at the Playhouse on Saturday, August 23 and was without a doubt the most hotly contested bodybuilding show KZN has seen to date. Spectators were treated to one of the best bodybuilding events this province has ever seen, as the province’s top bodybuilders took to the stage to show the judges the results of months of hard training and rigorous dieting as they competed for top honours and selection for the team that will be competing at the IFBB SA Bodybuilding Championships on the 6th September in Pretoria.

Adding to the excitement were some of KZN’s most beautiful female physiques who competed in the Body Fitness category.

The IFBB KZN Champs is the most popular bodybuilding show to compete in, in KZN. It gives athletes the opportunity to compete against some of South Africa’s best. The Overall title was a difficult call for the Judges as some of South Africa’s biggest names battled it out for top honours. Well established names like Richard Shezi, Terrence Pillay , Mo Rawat, Mario van Biljon, Chris Pillay and Chris Fitzpatrick battled it out pose for pose in the Overall Line Up. The line-up was highly competitive, but at the end of the day it was Chris Pillay, in the best form of his life, who took top honours.
