![]() hey dude i am 21 year old a rugby player. current weight 65 kg and struggle to gain weight. i would like you to advise me on which products i should use to gain weight and build some good muscle during the off season. in need of desperate help. ![]() Howzit bru
I come from a similar background(I weighed 59kg when I started training) so trust me bru I know what its like! There is only one thing that will make a major difference and that is your food/nutritional intake. You need to eat, eat and eat some more! And im not talking about junk calories either, eat as clean as you can all the time! Your body will not want to grow muscle if it doesn’t have good quality nutrition! There are studies to prove that trans fats(often found in fast foods and take away food) actually stop protein synthesis(muscle building). So save the junk food for cheat meals, not regular parts of your plan. If I was you I would add in calories from good proteins(chicken, lean steak, fish, eggs) low GI carbs(oats, potato, sweet potato, rice etc) and then don’t be shy to add in some fats in the form of raw nuts, bit of olive oil/flax seed oil. That’s the food side as far as supplements go I would advise you take something like Anabolic Muscle Builder as a meal replacement and/or post training. Pre training I would use Cytomaize or Crea-Mass. Then with breakfast(make sure breakfast is your biggest meal of the day!) I would take MultiVit and some vitamin C and at night just before bed a serving of ZMA goes a long way towards helping you to recover and repair the damage from all the hard and heavy training!
Good luck bro and let us know how it goes!!

![]() when i bench my shoulders tends to work more than the pecs, what am i doing wrong? how wide can i place my hands in order to avoid this if that is the problem? Thank Andrew. - Andrew ![]() I would take a slightly wider than shoulder width grip and then slowly lower the weight all the way down! Most people don’t use the chest enough when they try to train chest because they don’t allow the chest muscle to activate! Basically the more a muscle stretches the more it can activate! So firstly you will need to reduce the weight you use and secondly you must move the weight slower… too much jerking creates momentum and momentum cheats the muscle and stops it from working through the full range!
![]() Hi Andrew. Brad who posed the leg question before;) Iv finished my bulk period now and got up to 102 and Im wanting to lean it up now. My diet is very similar to the one Iv been using as its worked but im just lowering the carbs on it. This is what im using now to lean up so if you can let me know your take on it (Also I travel alot so convient meals are 1 - 3) Meal 1 07:00 70g uncooked oats with 45g whey with EFA\’s and t-spoon pnut butter. Meal 2 09:30 70g oats with 35g whey. Meal 3 12:00 6 egg whites 2 with yolks. Meal 4 14:30 70g brown rice(uncooked weight) with 150g chicken breasts & 100g veg with black coffee. Meal 5 pre.wrkout is 70g oats with 35g whey with 5g creatine & Glutamine. During my training i sip on 70g dextrose in water. Meal 6 Post wrkout is 3 Whit bix with 45g whey with creatine & glutamine with BCAA\’s. Meal 7 is Either 200g hake or Tin Tuna with 150g Veg with cup green tea. Water intake is about 5l per day. Im starting on this as a trial then will lower the carbs as I go along. Training is Mon-Fri morning session for Abs, Calves & forearms and then I train at 17:30 again for the majors. If you can give any advice on what im doing, much appreciated. Hows your training been going for the SA\’s? ![]() Hi Brad
I would definatley try to include some more real food! Drop the dextrose during training if youre trying to lean up as well. Cardio should be added in starting at 20-25 min per session! I would like to help you more but that wouldn’t be fair to my paying online clients! My mail is andrew@bodyguru.co.za if you are keen to discuss rates for online coaching with me! All the best bru!!
Oh yes and training for SA’s is going great, this is sure to be my all time best combination of size and condition!
![]() Hi Andrew. I want to know how i can improve the volume of my bicep? I have a nice peak when i flex my bicep but have a problem that i hava at least 2 finger gap between my bicep and forearm. Was wondering if there is any excersize that can help me lengthen my bicep? Thanxl.j ![]() Hi L.J.
Unfortunately that is completely genetic and there is nothing you can do about it besides make your arm bigger! This will make the gap appear smaller but it wont actually change! So keep pushing hard, train well, eat like you are serious about achieving your goals and im sure this “problem” wont be around for too much longer!!
![]() Hi andrew. it\’s Basil here. AM 17 years now I want to start boby building wich ssn supplemnts must i use ![]() Hi Basil check out the article i wrote called Bodybuidling 101 all about starting off on the bodybuilding scene!
![]() Hi Andrew At the moment I am using N.O Crea-Pump,Anabolic Muscle builder,Glutamine,Creatine Monohydrate and Whey Protein. I want to add something to the stack to improve my results, what would you suggest? ![]() I would give Cytomaize a try if youre looking to gain more, otherwise I would go for EFA and CLA if you are looking to lean out a bit!!
![]() Andrew Hope you are doing well :) In your personal opinion, or any experience you may have had… Do you prefer Creatine Monohydrate or Creatine CEE (Creatine Ethyl Ester) I need to know, which do you prefer, which has a higher possibility of any side-effects. Do either of the Mono or CEE cause the \’bloating\’ look, and which is a more promising type of Creatine for builing Muscles. Personally, Would you use SSN NO Crea- Pump or SSN Creatine Monohydrate?? Please tell me if I\’m not making any sense. But this is something that has been bugging me for a long time and I thought of no-one better to ask than Andrew Hudson himself :) Thanks so much man! Stevie ![]() Hi Stevie
Thanks bro well my personal experience is that I cant tell too much of a difference between the two, honestly both very very similar. Creatine Ethyl Ester is very water soluble and as such doesn’t affect my digestion at all if I take too much. Monohydrate if I take too much can upset my stomach a little but that’s only in extreme cases(taking too much!).
Oh and neither of them cause this bloating look you are talking about! That bloated look is the result of too many fast food burgers and junk food! Lol I always laugh when people are concerned about this! if you look at bodybuilders in season most of them compete at around 5% bodyfat and how many have this bloated look?? Now go ask them if they are using creatine!! My bet is that most of them are! Its not that they are using some special no water creatine, its because they are lean that you can see the enhanced muscle volume of a creatine loaded muscle cell!!
This is actually the perfect opportunity for me to refer to the new creatine product from SSN called Crea-Mass! Its awesome stuff! The reviews so far have been great!!
Hope this helps to put your mind at rest Stevie!!

![]() Hi Andrew, i have a rather strange question, i take Adcodol for headaches and it cintains codeine (i know its bad stuff). As this is a muscle relaxent, will this hinder my muscle development and growth and prevent me from looking \”defined\” ? I told you its a strange question:). ![]() Well I do know that there have been studies that showed too many anti inflamatories cause muscle growth to slow down and even stop completely so if this product contains anti inflamatories then I would say it does hinder your muscular potential… having said that I would never want to interfere with any medical Doctors advise to you so my first recommendation would be to check with your Doc!!
![]() hey andrew can u help me out becz i want to increase ma bises i m 6 feet n ma weitg is 75kgs ![]() Sure go read some of the articles on our articles page, that will help you! Here just click here 12 August 2010
![]() Hi Andrew. It\’s Steve again. Hope you are well…. My training programme and dieting and nutrition is all good. But just wanna know if Cytomaize is a good supplement on it\’s own (with the training and nutrition etc) Know what I\’m saying.. And I also bought N.O. Crea Pump (not really keen on using it cause of all the water) Now with the N.O. Crea Pump… When I finish it and I don\’t carry on using it… Will my muscles \”shrink\”?? ![]() Cytomaize is actually one of my favourite supplements in offseason I use PLENTY of it!! great stuff!
Im not sure what you mean by all the water when referring to NO Creapump?
All water gained from using such a product goes INTO the muscle cell, thereby making it larger! The kind of water you would want to avoid is water outside of the muscle cell which can be caused by a number of things including a high salt intake, not from anything inside NO Creapump!
Once you do finish using it your muscle may shrink a little but because it was loaded with creatine and extra water inside the cell, you will build more muscle during the time you are on it, so yes you will shrink a little but if you paid attention to training and eating during your time on it, you will shrink down to a little larger than before you went on it. ie you will be bigger than before you used it. |
